All about Barry
My name is Patrick Herring, also known as foleylion08 in card sites and social media. This website is dedicated to showcasing my Barry Sanders collection. Anything and everything found on this site has something to do with the greatest running back to ever lace up a pair of cleats for the Detroit Lions. His electric playmaking captivated me as a child, and like a kid, I relive those moments through the collection I’ve built here.
My collection |
For almost fifteen years now I’ve been working extensively to build one of the best Barry Sanders collections in the hobby. My funds aren’t unlimited and my family comes first, so while the quality of my collection may not be as great as some of the others, the quantity is definitely there. I am always looking to add anything related to Sanders to my collection, from cards to pack wrappers to video games and everything in between. No item is to great or too small if it is something I can actuallly feasibly obtain.

Acknowledgments |
Over the fifteen years I’ve been building this collection, there are handful of people who I would have never been able to do it without. There are far too many to name, but I do want to thank a handful personally.
Wendy Berutto, Jeff Bryant, Hardy Bryant, Michael Cline, Diane Currier, Bob DePouw, Nate Emerson, John French, Ryan Meck, Jennifer Lashua, Kelly Miller, Jeff Stoller, Eddie Thomas, David Trombley and all of the other amazing folks I met first on the Beckett website and then fostered a more personal relationship with on Facebook. These selfless collectors have added some of the highest quality items in my collection while asking little, or nothing, in return. Some of my Facebook buddies, Ryan Benford, Homer Harris, Chris Miller and Shane Overvold mainly bonded with me over our mutual love for Alabama football, but whenever they stumble upon some Barry stuff, it makes its way to me and I can’t thank them enough. My childhood friend Jordan Morse who, whether he even knows it or not, got me into collecting. The kind old gentleman at my local flea market who was so patient with a thirteen year old flipping through dozens of 1,000 count boxes of cards for hours on end. I regret not being able to remember his name as he was really responsible for getting my Barry collection started. I also want want to thank anyone else reading this who may have helped me along the way. As forgetful as I am, I do cherish any help you’ve given me and my collection. |
